Comments: This is a rare albast shabti in “contour perdu”, which means “without a shape”. These shabtis are somethimes also called “peg” shabtis. They are known from the late 20th Dynasty royal shabtis of the Ramses Kings and his high officials. Since the paint on this example is lost, identification is no longer possible. It does look like the shabtis for Ramses VII though (see Aubert 1974, plate 23).
