Comments: Parallels in Schneider 5.3.1.188 and further references found there. The shabtis of this Priest are well known. The tomb was excavated in 1888 by Petrie in Hawara. It contained 399 shabtis of 17 different moulds. Although Petrie dated the shabti to the 26th Dynasty, Schneider dates it to 30th Dynasty based a.o. the raised relief of the implements and the comparison with shabtis of King Nepherites. All shabtis are substantial in size and good in quality. However, due to water in the tomb, most of them discoulored into brown.
