Comments: The shabtis of Neber-Ib-Ra-Sa-Neith are among the finest ever made. They can be distinguished into four types (according to a study by B. Peterson, published in Medelhavsmuseet bulletin 12, 1977). This example seems to be type c. They were light blue origanally as this example shows (and not green as often thought, also by Schlogl/Brodbeck, page 243). The excellent workmanship is eminent from the deeply incised hieroglyphs.

A total of 336 shabtis were burried with this owner. Further details from his tomb are that his father was named Mer-Ib.
