Comments |
This little shabti is from the famous tomb of the Theban priests of Cache 2. This owner was according to the titles of some his shabtis a Priest of Amen, a Godsfather of Amen and a Master of Secrets (involved in the mummification proces). Not every shabti of this owner contains all these titles.
Note that it appears that this particular example has a hint of the royal beard which is rare in Cache 2.
Parallels can be found in Leiden, see Schneider 4.5.1.11, Berlin, Cairo and Florence.
